‘DO NOT LET ME BE ALONE’

By Billy Dale

This poem was originally written several years ago for those who are disabled and may spend a lot of time home alone, even when not going through a pandemic quarantine type of situation as we have for the past year.

Now updated and edited.

This poem should be self-explanatory.

DO NOT LET ME BE ALONE

Do not let me be alone

For that may sing a sad, sad tone.

For being sick, disabled as I am

Does not mean or make me damned.

A phone call with just a hi,

Or how are you doing, you okay?

Yes, I did not yet die.

It may just make my whole day

Do not let me be alone

For that may sing a sad, sad tone.

For being sick, disabled as I am

Does not mean or make me damned.
